What We Collect and Why

Contact form

When you use the contact form on this site, we collect the following fields you submit: name, company, email address, message, and area of interest. These fields are emailed directly to Mirific GmbH so we can respond to your enquiry. The sender address is noreply@mirific.ch; your email address is set as the reply-to header so we can reply to you directly.

The form includes anti-spam protections: a hidden honeypot field (bots that fill it are silently rejected), a timestamp check (submissions arriving faster than a human could reasonably type are rejected), and Google reCAPTCHA(described below).

Google reCAPTCHA: to protect the contact form from automated abuse, we use reCAPTCHA v2, provided by Google. When you interact with the form, reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and sends it to Google for analysis to tell humans and bots apart. This transfer is necessary to submit the form. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google'sPrivacy Policyand Terms of Service.

Purpose: responding to your enquiry.
Recipients: the message is received by Mirific GmbH staff only.

Server logs

This site is hosted by cyon AG, Switzerland.

Cookies and Local Storage

We store your cookie-consent choice in your browser's localStorageunder the key mirific-consent (value: granted ordenied). This is a technical preference stored locally on your device; it is not a tracking cookie and is not transmitted to any server.

When you accept analytics (see below), Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies on your device to measure site usage. If you reject analytics, no GA cookies are set.

Analytics — Google Analytics 4

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, session duration, referral sources). GA4 is configured with Consent Mode v2.

Default behaviour (opt-out model): GA4 loads for all visitors by default with Consent Mode set to granted. On your first visit, a cookie banner asks for your preference.

  • Accept all — your consent choice is saved; GA4 continues to collect data as above.
  • Reject all — Consent Mode is set to denied and GA4 is disabled via ga-disable; GA4 stops collecting data immediately. Your choice is saved in localStorage (mirific-consent: denied) so the banner does not re-appear on return visits until you clear your storage.

You can reopen the consent banner at any time via the "Cookie settings"link in the site footer to change your choice.

When GA4 is active, data (such as pages visited, browser type, and IP-derived approximate location) is sent to Google's servers and processed under Google's privacy terms.

Fonts

This site uses the Open Sans typeface. The font files areself-hosted on mirific.ch and served as part of the site bundle (via the @fontsource/open-sans package). No request is made to Google Fonts, so no font-related data is sent to Google.

Hosting

This website is hosted by cyon AG, Nikolausstrasse 22, 4051 Basel, Switzerland. cyon is a Swiss hosting provider; all web-server infrastructure is located in Switzerland.
